March 14 – May 25, 2026
Opening March 13, 2026, 7 PM
The exhibition presents the three ars viva award winners 2026, spotlighting a new generation of emerging artists. The works—developed specifically for Marta Herford—engage cultural, social, and political entanglements in sharply distinct and memorable ways.
Ryan Cullen probes political and ideological systems through painting and sculpture. Nazanin Noori explores the relationship between architecture, sculpture, and sound, creating multisensory narratives woven from intercultural poetic and musical sources. Prateek Vijan investigates who is afforded access to which structures—and how. Through his installations, he stages spatial encounters with exclusion, producing environments that make barriers physically felt.
The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft has been awarding the ars viva prize for Visual Arts annually since 1953 to outstanding young artists under 35 living in Germany. Marta Herford is the first of several exhibition venues.
