* Reduction during the exhibition conversion in the conversion 5.50 euros admission for the Lippold Gallery, 7.50 euros for visiting the Gehry Galleries, for Federal Volunteer Service providers (or comparable voluntary services), job seekers, people with a disability (from GdB 50), artCard owners, holders of the honorary card of the State of NRW, 5.00 euros owners of the HerfordCard, members of the Herford Kunstverein, proof and a photo ID must be presented at the entrance without being asked.
Free admission for people up to 18 years, visitors on their birthday, Marta Friends & Sponsors, circle of friends members of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche, the DB-Art-Card, the ICOM card and the IGBK artist ID, IKT members, members of the German Museum Association, Daniel Pöppelmann Haus employees, members of the Kestner Gesellschaft, proof and a photo ID must be presented at the entrance without being asked.
Barrier-free Access
The Museum Marta Herford is easily accessible from the station forecourt. All exhibition and visitor rooms are accessible either via ramps or via the elevator. In exceptional cases, however, it may happen that individual installations in the exhibition rooms cannot be kept barrier-free.
Two disabled-accessible toilets are also available in the museum and café. A free wheelchair can be provided for visitors with walking difficulties. A larger number of folding chairs are also available for use in the exhibition rooms.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs can be taken into the exhibition rooms with appropriate identification. For further questions, please contact the staff at the visitor service.
Directions and Transport Links
By train
Herford is an IC/ICE train station. The walk to the museum is only about 3 minutes: from the station forecourt, follow the main street (Bahnhofstraße, Fürstenaustraße, Goebenstraße) 300 m to the left.
By car
A2 Hanover – Dortmund: to exit Herford/ Bad Salzuflen (B 239), signposted from the motorway exit
A30 Osnabrück – Bad Oeynhausen: to exit Kirchlengern, direction Herford, signposted from the town boundary
The Marta Herford has some parking spaces for visitors. In the vicinity you will find 500 car parking spaces, e.g. opposite in the Elsbach Areal multi-storey car park. In addition, there are 4 bus parking spaces in the Marta Areal.
