Reinhard Mucha’s large-format installations engage with the historical resonance of materials. Using typical post-war building materials such as linoleum or bitumen-soaked wool felt, he creates works that simultaneously reference the aesthetics of Minimal Art. This establishes various frames of reference for contemporary history.

This work is named after a German pre-war train station and a short story by Heinrich Böll from the 1950s.
