Wide-awake Daydream, 1999

In her work, Silke Schatz addresses specific places and the memories inscribed within them, as well as those she personally associates with them. She processes these in dense architectural drawings and installations. This multi-part work focuses on the so-called “Konzerthaus” (Concert Hall) in Braunschweig, whose occupation she was involved in during the 1980s.
