Now in its twelfth edition, the RecyclingDesignprize is a competition for new products designed from waste and residual materials. It seeks innovative upcycling ideas and pioneering approaches in materials research, the circular economy, social design, and transformation design – sustainable, visionary, imaginative, and original.
The RecyclingDesignprize is an international competition inviting creatives with professional or semi-professional training to submit their ideas and projects. It is initiated by RecyclingBörse! Herford.

1st prize: 2.500 euros
2nd prize: 1.500 euros

Requirement: Availability of the works during exhibitions.
A selection of the most outstanding submissions will be presented alongside the award-winning projects in the exhibition Outstanding Ideas (March 13 – June 20, 2027) at Marta Herford. The exhibition opens on March 12, 2027. Following its presentation at Marta, the exhibition will travel to the Neues Museum Nürnberg and the Spandau Citadel in Berlin, where the selected works will be shown.
