DESCRIPTION:Since 2013\, the “Herford Architecture Talks” have addressed ideas and visions of urban life as well as current issues in architecture and urban planning – a stimulating evening with renowned and influential personalities\, not just for architects! \nCity + Vision 45 – Herford Architecture Talks with a keynote lecture by Sarah Behrens and Ina Westheiden / The Baukunst Dynamites\, Stuttgart\, Berlin: COPY & PASTE \nIn the future\, the further development of existing buildings and the ecological building transition will be among the greatest challenges in architecture. How can this transformation be shaped? How can one demonstrate appropriateness towards existing structures while simultaneously developing iconic architecture? How can the principle of Copy and Paste lead to new ideas? What potential lies in the repetition of icons? THE BAUKUNST DYNAMITES will present their unconventional perspectives on these questions for discussion at this architecture evening at Marta Herford.      \nThe internationally active architecture label THE BAUKUNST DYNAMITES was founded in summer 2016. Under the direction of Sarah Behrens and Ina Westheiden\, the design collective works in their studios at Kunstverein Wagenhalle Stuttgart and in Berlin-Kreuzberg at the intersections of architecture\, design\, art\, and theory. Their debut project “DOPPELGÄNGER RELOADED” – the renovation and extension of the Hölzel House in Stuttgart – was awarded the German Design Award and nominated for the DAM Prize 2024. Further projects such as the one-room apartment “WOHNEN MIT MORRIS” or the temporary installation “WAS BLEIBT? WAS KOMMT? WAS GEHT?” as a contribution by the Weissenhof Museum to the IBA‘27 Festival 2023 not only demonstrate unconventional approaches to dealing with existing built structures but also the broad architectural spectrum of the young collective.    \nThe founders gradually built up their independence after their joint architecture studies\, working concurrently in architectural offices\, from 2018–2020 in the research team of the Space Sharing Reallabor located at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart\, and in teaching. Thus\, over the years\, an ever-growing network and exciting collaborations emerged. DESCRIPTION:Poetry Slam is back in Herford! The slam stage has been silent since 2019 – now it’s getting loud again! Every two months\, Slam OWL brings the region’s hidden poets to the stage – captivating\, relatable\, and guaranteed not to be boring.   \nWhat is a Poetry Slam anyway?\nA Poetry Slam is an event format in which poets perform self-written texts on a stage\, which are then evaluated by a randomly selected audience jury. They may not use props and must adhere to a time limit of what feels like 6 minutes per performance. At the end of the evening\, one of the performers emerges as the winner. There are no stylistic requirements: Whether funny or serious\, whether stand-up or lyric poetry – anything can take place on a Poetry Slam stage! Moderation: Niko Sioulis.     \nSlam OWL is a culturally engaged association and organizer of most poetry slams in the region and is also active in youth work. SUMMARY:Giora Feidman Trio - Revolution of Love
DESCRIPTION:In 2025\, Maestro Giora Feidman continues to dedicate himself powerfully and empathetically to a world without weapons and borders. The internationally renowned clarinetist and peace ambassador appeals on his current tour\, “Revolution of Love\,” for peaceful coexistence as well as for more love and harmony. In the approximately two-hour concert program\, the audience will experience a firework of traditional klezmer as well as masterpieces of tango music and selected compositions from the current CDs\, composed by Majid Montazer. During the unforgettable concert\, the musicians take the audience on a journey into the world of spiritual and secular music.    \nThis program continues Giora Feidman’s artistic work and goes far beyond the musical dimension. With “Revolution of Love\,” Feidman pursues the goal of spreading not only tones\, but also the transformative message of love. This revolution is intended to touch the listeners emotionally and initiate a journey full of hope and connection. Giora Feidman and his various ensembles\, who will accompany him throughout the tour\, are looking forward to these unique concerts and are firmly convinced that music is a powerful force that unites people and can bring about change – a true “Revolution of Love” through music.    \nGiora Feidman\, the winner of several Classical Echo awards\, uses his clarinet to communicate through music and share his message. His sound is changeable\, passionate\, and emotional\, but also sensual and down-to-earth. The “King of Klezmer” and interpreter of the Oscar-winning film music of Steven Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List” offers his listeners an extraordinary experience at his concerts. He was also heard in the German films “Beyond Silence” by Caroline Link and “Comedian Harmonists” (1997) by Joseph Vilsmaier.    \nFeidman has already been honored for his commitment to peace and his services to reconciliation between peoples.
