The collection exhibition on the subject of interiors visualizes early acquisitions that are reminiscent of furniture and thematize domestic design, including, for example, “seating objects”, which explore the which demonstrate the fine line between art and design, form and function, experimental one-offs and mass products. Other works from the collection unfold the perspective on furniture and furnishings as objet trouvé or symbolic relics of everyday culture, as conceptual spatial staging or haunting film narratives.
The show spans an arc around the theme of living and dwelling with levels of meaning between home, lifestyle and refuge – all the way to psychological abysses and traumas.
