One day before the official opening we invite interested educators from the region to take an initial look at the current exhibition. They receive information on the concept and the exhibited works. The first educational offers for the respective school grades and the kindergarten children are presented.

Accompanied by an experienced teacher, the children encounter selected works of art which encourage them to see and hear precisely, to be amazed and to talk about them. The tour is followed by practical work in the Atelier.

The unusual architecture of the Marta Herford stimulates amazement and exploration. The museum is explored inside and out and afterwards fantastic houses can be built or painted in the Atelier.

All participants in guided tours have to pay the respective museum admission price (see Admission prices). In the event of cancellations as of 3 calendar days before the tour date, 80% of the respective tour fee is due for payment, and for cancellations on the day of the tour 100 % of the respective tour price. The tour price is increased by 10 Euro per 15-minute delay. After one hour waiting time, the guide is entitled to leave the meeting point; any claim to even a shortened tour lapses.
